Our Young Company  for years 11-13 is our advanced drama rehearsals class for all abilities.  All classes are ran as  rehearsals, working towards a production on a professional stage. The classes  provide an in-depth, professional and imaginative way to approach scripts, exploring everything theatre has to offer from musicals to comedy to drama.  Whether you're looking to go into the industry or just perform as a hobbie, this class is for you!

Tuesdays 7:30-9pm

Throughout the term our Young Company  rehearse for  a series of  full scale productions in a fun and safe environment. We aim to create a space where each and every child feels like they can be themselves and grow in confidence!

The weekly rehearsals explore a wide range of plays and musicals throughout the year, with the class taking to the stage twice a year. We know at this age school workload is heavy and exams finish off the year, so our production schedule allows us you to work around these, allowing you to remain stress free, whilst forgetting the joys of revision!

Throughout the years you will perform a range of different shows from plays to musicals to devised pieces.

This term we will be in rehearsals for our July production of 'Red' by Somalia Seaton.

Please note due to this being a performance company, the two week free trial must take place in the first 2 weeks of term.

My daughter really enjoys South Side Theatre Academy. It is such a friendly and inclusive place. They bring out her creativity in a fun way and it also helps with her confidence.

Our next Young Company production is 'Red', which will take place in July 2022. 'Red' is an unflinching and bold exploration of the internal lives of young women, and what happens when their world is shattered by grief. 'Red' is part of Platform, an initiative from Tonic Theatre, aimed at addressing gender imbalance in theatre.
