We are constantly on the look out for people to join our team of volunteers, whether its choreographing shows, doing the tech or costumes or helping on Front of House for shows to name just a few ideas. We want to hear from you by emailing info@southsidetheatre.com! Let us know what you are interested in and if we can't offer you something at the time we will keep you on our database and contact you when something in your field and interests becomes available.

Musical Director - Legally Blonde

South Side Theatre Academy are on the search for a Musical Director for our upcoming production of ‘Legally Blonde’, to join our ever-growing team at an exciting point in South Side’s development. The successful candidate will work with the Creative team,musical directing and teaching a cast of 11–19-year-olds for the production, as part of the Pro Production Experience.

Due to the nature of the work, with young people, the suitable candidate must hold a valid enhanced DBS check. 

 

Terms of Contract Freelance Contract (8th October 2025-23rd Mach 2026)
Salary £25 an hour for rehearsals
Location Various rehearsal locations in Surbiton & Chessington

Start Date Wednesday 8th October 2025
Rehearsals Wednesdays & Fridays 5:30-8:30pm from mid-December 2025 (Musical Director wouldn’t be called for all of them)

Reporting to: Artistic Director

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early. South Side reserves the right to close the job post earlier if sufficient applications are received.
