Year 3 to Year 6 (Ages 7-11)

Mondays 5-6:30pm, Tuesdays & Thursday 4:30-6pm & Saturdays 10-11:30am

 

 

Our Junior Academy is designed to help young performers flourish by building a wide range of theatrical skills. Open to children in Years 3 to 6, the sessions focus on everything from musical theatre and comedy to improvisation and character work.

 

We use the joy of each session to bring out the best in every child, giving them a voice, encouraging self-expression, and helping them discover who they are.​ Throughout the term, we work closely with our students to develop their ideas and bring them to life. During the Summer term, classes shift from workshops to rehearsals as we prepare for a full-scale production on a professional stage, giving students the unforgettable experience of performing in front of a live audience.

In previous terms we have performed shows such as Matilda, Finding Nemo, Aladdin and Bugsy Malone and explored the likes of Roald Dahl, improvisation, slapstick comedy and vocal and dance technique. 

 

This term our Junior classes are heading down the red carpet in our movies term, where they explore new movie genres every week, ahead of an award ceremony finale in the final week!
