MINI ACADEMY
Our Mini Academy for Reception to Year 2 allows our young performers to start to explore their imaginations. Throughout the term we just explore their young minds and whisk them away to a range of magical places through singing, dancing and acting!
We use the joy of each session to bring out the best in every child, giving them a voice, encouraging self-expression, and helping them discover who they are.
Throughout the term, we work closely with our students to develop their ideas and bring them to life. This creative journey often leads to an end-of-term performance in some form. In certain terms, classes shift from workshops to rehearsals as we prepare for a full-scale production on a professional stage, giving students the unforgettable experience of performing in front of a live audience.
In previous terms we have performed shows such as 'Oliver', 'Aladdin' and 'Bugsy Malone' and explored the likes of Roald Dahl, improvisation, slapstick comedy, singing and dance technique.
Every term ends with a performance for friends and family, including a full scale production each year on a professional stage!
This term our Junior classes are preparing for their musical productions next week, mastering their musical theatre skills in a term called 'Broadway, Here We Come', as we dive into a different Broadway musical each week.
NEXT PRODUCTIONS
Our next Junior productions will kick off rehearsals in January 2026, with our most recent Junior Weekly Academy productions being 'Finding Nemo JR' and 'Annie JR' which were performed in June & July 2025. Our next shows will be announced in Autumn 2025.
From the very first workshop auditions, throughout the rehearsal process and into production week our young performers will work with our professional production team, who create a safe and fun rehearsal environment allowing them to thrive on stage.
Whatever your your past experience, there is a place for you in our shows, with every production ensuring every student has their moment to shine, giving everyone a space to grow and develop with their talents.
You can join the casts of our 2024 productions by joining our Junior classes! Our Monday & Thursday cast next show is in 2025, with them just completing their run of 'Beauty and the Beast JR' in February 2024.
Previous productions include: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Matilda the Musical, Oliver!, Finding Nemo, Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, Madagascar and Bugsy Malone!
