Our 2023 Summer Season is going to be jam-packed and we are delighted to have at the heart of it all, 2 incredible musicals, 'Shrek the Musical JR' and 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang JR'!
First up, Shrek the Musical will run at Esher Theatre for 3 performances from Friday 26th to Saturday 27th May 2023 performed by our Junior and Senior Weekly Theatre Academy's in Esher! You can join the cast today and star as Fiona, Donkey or Shrek by registering for our 2-week free trial in our Monday Esher classes for 7-15 year olds. Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task – if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

Following Shrek, in July we return to the cornerHOUSE stage with the classic musical, 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' performed by our Surbiton Juniors! Running from the 7th-9th July 2023, 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' follows the story of the Potts family as their magical invention, the flying car takes them all the way to Vulgaria to fight of the wicked Baron and the evil Childcatcher. Packed full of memorable songs such as 'Toot Sweets' and 'Me Ol' Bamboo', this is a show you won't want to miss! Both our classes performing this production are currently full, but do join the waiting list now. Rehearsals start from after February half term 2023!
