We are constantly on the look out for people to join our team of volunteers, whether its choreographing shows, doing the tech or costumes or helping on Front of House for shows to name just a few ideas. Resident Musical Director
South Side are on the search for a resident Musical Director to lead our singing workshops throughout Musical Theatre themed terms in our Weekly Academy, alongside Musical Directing our yearly productions and getting involved with running further holiday projects and workshops. The Musical Director will join South Side’s team of creative practitioners every week as the company grows, heading towards new class dates throughout 2021 and beyond. 


Contract Type: Rolling Freelance – weekly musical theatre classes on Tuesdays with 7-15-year olds.


Salary: £10 per hour 
Application Closing Date: Friday 11th December 2020, 12pm
Interview Dates: interviews to take place week commencing Monday 14th December 2020.

Working Arrangements: Tuesday’s during term time, hours alter on a termly basis. Example hours: 5-6:30pm or 5-8pm depending on number of classes studying Musical Theatre that term (cover can be arranged if there are ever sessions you cannot make). Further opportunities for further work in Holiday Projects. Please note this post is on a freelance basis and working arrangements will constantly change throughout the year depending on what each class is studying each term. 


The successful candidate will run all musical workshops and rehearsals with our Ages 7-11 and 11-15 theatre classes on a Tuesday. Potentially a further day later in 2021 (Thursday or Saturday)


The Musical Director will join our team from Tuesday 5th January 2021 from 5-6:30pm for the Spring Term and then 5-8pm for the Summer Term from April.
