Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture! Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.

In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.

Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore and an upbeat score including 'Part of Your World', 'Poor Unfortunate Souls' and of course 'Under the Sea', this is not one to miss out on!

'The Little Mermaid JR' is being performed as part of our Junior, Ages 7-11 Weekly Theatre Academy classes on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. You can find out how to join the cast by clicking here.

Red Team (Monday Class) Saturday 7pm & Sunday 2:30pm

Orange Team (Thursday Class) Saturday 2:30pm & Sunday 6:30pm

Recommended audience age: 3+

Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted. Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break but we cannot guarantee admittance into the performance.

Calling all passionate young performers aged 7-11!

South Side Theatre Academy are on the lookout for 7-11 year olds looking for their moment to shine to join our Summer production of The Little Mermaid JR!

Be a part of our award-winning Weekly Theatre Academy as rehearsals kick off this January in our Monday and Thursday Junior classes. Working with our professional production team, ahead of a spectacular production at the cornerHOUSE from the 13th-14th June, fit with full lights, sound, costumes and set!

To join the cast, book a free trial class in our Monday (5-6:30pm) or Thursday (4:30-6pm) Junior classes in Surbiton.

AUDITIONS & REHEARSALS
Rehearsals take place within our Weekly Theatre Academy classes, for an hour and a half a week. Across the first 2 weeks of term, our creative team will work with the casts to explore the story, music and choreography in our workshop auditions, where everyone will be given the chance to showcase what they can do. Students will given the opportunity to perform a solo from a part of a song taught to them if they wish, sing as an ensemble, perform a piece of choreography, and showcase their acting skills in a scene. Following this, casting will be announced, with casting designed to give everyone their moment, no matter their role, allowing them to learn and grow.

We then get to work with rehearsals, starting with the big full company number so everyone is involved, and then working through the full show material.

Alongside the regular weekly rehearsals, at the theatre there will be one Saturday Technical rehearsal on Saturday 6th June and a dress rehearsal on either Wednesday 10th or Friday 12th June, depending on cast.

Mondays at St Matthew's Church, Surbiton, 5-6:30pm
Thursdays at Tolworth Utd Reformed Church, 4:30-6pm
