Calling all passionate young performers aged 11-19!
South Side Theatre Academy is on the lookout for young actors, singers, and dancers aged 11 to 19, who have a passion and drive for theatre to bring the epic 'Hadestown: Teen Edition' to life.
South Side Theatre Academy are excited to announce auditions for our next epic Pro Production 'Hadestown' performing at the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, Walton from the 6th-7th February 2027. Young performers will spend the end of 2026 and early 2027 in rehearsals with our professional production team, learning, rehearsing and then performing the fabulous musical, alongside a live orchestra!
This is an incredible opportunity to work on a hit musical this Summer and perform at a professional theatre!
AUDITION DATES: Wednesday 17th June, 5-9pm OR Friday 19th June, 5-9pm
CALL-BACK DATES: Wednesday 24th June, 5-9pm

AUDITION INFO
Auditions are open to new and existing members ages 11-19 (who will be in secondary school from September, or taking a gap year).
All those wanting to audition MUST attend an audition session on either the 17th or 19th June 2026 (we do also have a video audition option). At this audition students will be taught a short dance routine, some scene work and then be taught a section of a song. For those wishing to audition for a principal role, you will be required to sing a section of a song solo, from one of the options, which can be found in the audition information pack below.
Following auditions, we may then invite some auditionees to call-backs on the 24th June. If you are not invited to call-backs this doesn't mean you haven't been cast, it just means we saw everything we needed to see within the original audition.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR AN AUDITION?

First download and read the Audition Pack carefully, which contains details of fees, rehearsal dates and shows!

Then complete the registration form below, selecting your audition date and time. We will then email you to confirm your audition slot. All audition participants must be registered before attending the audition day. Audition booking closes on Friday 5th June, but may close earlier if a high number of auditions are received early. So don't hang around.

REHEARSALS
Rehearsals run on Fridays from 5-9pm at Tolworth Utd Reformed Church, Surbiton from September 2026-February 2027. There will also be two full day rehearsals during October half term and a couple of Wednesdays in the final few weeks of rehearsals. Full dates can be found here.
