Bugsy Malone

Saturday 6th July 2019

Performed by our Ages 7-11 Weekly Academy company, 'Bugsy Malone' was our first Summer Musical Production.

Dandy Dan’s hoodlums terrorise the district, exterminating undesirables with their new weapon – splurge guns. His rival is Fat Sam Stacetto, who runs the Grand Slam Speakeasy, but Fat Sam’s gang still use old-fashioned pies. Fat Sam engages the help of Bugsy Malone, a smooth city slicker who has been more occupied in sweet-talking Blousey Brown, a would-be girl singer. The events following are custard-trophic!

Devised through the 'Young Voices Project' is our scratch production, 'Dickerage Fails'. Created by the Young People in the Youth Group at the YMCA Dickerage, the life of the Youth Club is explored through comedy sketches, magic tricks, talent shows, flashbacks, true life stories and much more. With strong messages of anti-bullying, technology today and growing up a teenager, catch 'Dickerage Fails' to travel on a whole range of emotions in this powerful play about growing up in a Youth Club.
